Not All Charities Offer Pick Up Service in Columbus, Dayton, Springfield & throughout Central Ohio

Charities Pick Up ColumbusOne reason that National Kidney Services (NKS) stands out from other Columbus area charities is that we offer pick up service throughout the Central Ohio area. This makes it easy for you to help your local community by donating used clothing and household items to NKS because you don’t have to go out of your way to make a contribution. All you have to do is call 614-351-2900 or sign up online and add your contact information to our regular call list and we’ll notify you when pickups are being made in your area.

Your donations of used clothes and household items help NKS and the National Kidney Foundation, which is a nonprofit health organization devoted to establishing programs for kidney disease awareness, early detection screenings, and more. Give to these charities by requesting a donation pick up and you’ll be supporting:

  • Initiatives to provide ID jewelry to patients with end stage renal disease
  • Emergency financial assistance programs for kidney disease patients
  • The production of educational literature about organ donation, dialysis, and family support
  • Children ages 8-18 who have kidney disease and would like to attend the annual Kappa Kidney Camp

The above programs are examples of how NKF is fighting to reduce the prevalence of this debilitating illness throughout Ohio. You can help by simply clearing clothes from your closet, looking through your basement shelves for books and other items you no longer use, or keeping us in mind the next time you host a yard sale or community sale. We offer standard weekday donation pick up, in addition to expedited and special Saturday collections for large donation loads, which are just a few of the reasons that our pick up service sets us apart from other local charities. To make a donation drop off, bring your items to any Ohio Thrift store location.
