Donate Used Books and Help Raise Awareness About Chronic Kidney in Columbus, Lancaster & Dayton

Donate Used Books ColumbusIf your bookshelves are overflowing, donate your used books to National Kidney Services (NKS) and get rid of that unwanted clutter in your Columbus area home while also helping a local charity. Whether you have hardbacks, paperbacks, or some old textbooks that you no longer need, we gladly welcome your donations and will even pick them up at your home or office for free.

NKS works closely with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), which is a nonprofit health organization devoted to raising awareness about chronic kidney disease and reducing its prevalence in the United States. When you donate used books and other household items to NKS, we’re able to generate proceeds that go directly to NKF and programs that:

  • Provide funding for kidney disease research
  • Offer free health screenings to at-risk individuals
  • Help healthcare professionals get continuing education
  • Advocate for increased patient legislation
  • Inform people about the benefits of organ donation

Making a donation to NKS doesn’t need to take you any farther than your own front door. Simply gather the used books and other items you would like to donate and contact us to arrange a free donation pickup. Call 614-351-2900 or sign up online to be added to our regular call list. You can also drop off your tax-deductible* donations at any Ohio Thrift store in Columbus, Whitehall, Grove City, or Washington Court House. Not only can you donate used books, but we also accept men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, small furniture, small appliances, electronics, toys, kitchen utensils, decorative items, and more.
